UiPath Studio

UiPath Studio

UiPath is a robotic process automation tool which provides capabilities to automate all kinds of processes. The UiPath tool is not a freeware and is available from https://www.uipath.com/studio. The tool provides a trail version for two months from the official site. Lets check more depth into the tool.
UiPath Studio

UiPath studio contains many sections\panes where each has its own importance. On the top we have menu bar and tool bar. The menu\tool bar contains the following menu options

New- To create a new workflow
Save – To save existing workflow after editing.
Run – Use F5 or this menu button to run the workflow created.
Cut, Copy, Paste – Allows performing Cut, Copy and Paste activities inside a workflow.
Undo, Redo - This allows redoing or undoing the last action.
Launch Ui Explorer – Gives you various options to frame selectors.
Recording – Allows recording a set off actions in various categories.
Screen scraping – Allows extracting data from the screen.
Debug – Allows running the workflow in debug mode.
Start – Starts the execution of workflow.
Stop – To stop the execution of running workflow.
Toggle Breakpoints – To place or remove break points.
Logs – UiPath logs provide detailed information of the realtime execution status of workflow activities.
Publish – To generate a executable package once the workflow is completed.
Setup Extensions – To setup various extensions for different browsers.

Left Pane

The Left pane contains Library, Project and Activities. Lets see a brief into these

The library provides examples that are defined by UiPath.

Project

Bottom Pane

This contains the output where the execution results are displayed while executing a workflow. This section need not be present here it can be present even in the Right Pane.

Right Pane

This pane contains properties and outline sections.

Properties

This section contains all the properties that are supported by activity. You can change the properties of each activity to perform required actions. The common properties include selector of an activity , timeout, delay before, delay after.

Outline

This section contains the workflow activities in a flow diagram model. Where you can navigate and check the activities. Each activity is represented in single line.

    1. Hi There,

Very cool to see your post come up when I was searching this topic!
Especially when we have a lot of license and activated devices. we have to manage them manually and can’t guarantee if the information is correct or not.
Hope there is a webpage with an account that we can see the registered device id under a license. And also, be able to change a license form on device to another. (we need to renew our robot pc in a certain time).
The most difficult part is we can’t tell the device is activated by which license now.
If UiPath has any license management experience, please share during the training.
UiPath helps in banking companies differentiate. It executes process productivity and decreases costs while assuring regulative compliance and longer analytical insight.
We didn’t know it can be a problem at beginning.
Excellent tutorials - very easy to understand with all the details. I hope you will continue to provide more such tutorials.

    2. Hi There,

Amaze! I have been looking bing for hours because of this and i also in the
end think it is in this article! Maybe I recommend you something helps me all
      the time?

Conc set again means getting output not from concurrent you ran but
      from another one.

But finally the problem was solved - in host
program just after main pl/sql stored prog I make select from log table
wrapping each field in xml tag and redirect it to the output. The trick is to
make sqlplus seetings so no other lines are in the output. That gives us a XML
feed for xsl-template attached to the concurrent as its type is set as XML.

Hope you understand what I mean.

      I started using UiPath Tutorial

      blog for my training practice.
Thank you anyway for the assisnace.

I am so grateful for your blog. Really looking forward to read more.

      Thank you,

    1. NayHoh,

What a brilliant post I have come across and believe me I have been searching out for this similar kind of post for past a week and hardly came across this Uipath Training USA.

The “scroll” option in SendHotkey activity simulates pressing the “Scroll lock” button on the keyboard. Enable or disable this option is best seen within an Excel sheet: when enabled, if you press any of the arrow keys it will result in the screen moving in that direction, but the selected cell will not change. It has nothing to do with the actual scrolling.
In my opinion, the best way to scroll whitin a list or page is with SendHotkey -> arrow up/down OR pg up/down.

Once again thanks for your tutorial.

      Cheers,
      Kevin

Smokin hot stuff! You’ve trimmed my dim. I feel as bright and fresh as your prolific website and blogs!

I got a technical task to complete as a job interview which I must complete in the next 2 days.
I received the solution from the company and I need to add automated tests to their existing framework.
My issue is that I cannot set my environment at home to run their test, so I cannot start writing the code.
I don't know what environment they are working on.
I have Windows 10 and Visual Studio Express 2017. I also installed the latest Selenium WebDriver.

Awesome! Thanks for putting this all in one place. Very useful!

  8. KiaOra,

Muchas Gracias Mi Amigo! You make learning so effortless. Anyone can follow you and I would not mind following you to the moon coz I know you are like my north star.

From EEVX2.0, there is a new 'builtin' Symbol Editor, that shares the GUI with DxDesigner (now Xpedition Designer). It is called Integrated Symbol Editor (ISE)
One of the benefits is that the Settings for the tool are controlled in the same manner as for Xpedition Designer. Another benefit is that the Automation Layer is also the same for both tools. This is true in the meaning that you can now use .vbs and .efm instead of Tcl/Tk which was the scripting tool for NSE (New Symbol Editor), pre-EEVX2.0.
While we are waiting for the full documentation for the Automation Layer for ISE, this discussions aim is to try and clear some of the smoke and mystery about Automation for ISE. A code example is attached at the bottom.
It has been said somewhere that DxDesigner

    Uipath certification

    USA
Automation can be used for ISE - well, that is true to some extent.
Once symbols are open in ISE, it is an object of the SchematicSheetDocuments collection. As an example, the method
    SchematicSheetDocuments.Close
will close all currently open symbol tabs.

In order to do anything with the open symbols, you can use this example to get symbol details (LibrayName (partition), symbol name and extension. To get to the attributes of the symbol (most likely in order to list or modify them, you can go via the Activeview.Block.Attributes method as shown below :
I look forward to see your next updates.

  10. Greetings Mate,

You make learning and reading addictive. All eyes fixed on you. Thank you being such a good and trust worthy guide.

Firstly, we need to understand the requirement of cycle. Although it is application testing or web testing.
Secondly,we try to understand how to use that application in detail by:
    • Check that application have available user guide or not.
    • Can base on test case before you do exploratory testing. Because from test case, you can know how to use that application step by step.
Some Projects, I don't know how to use it when start testing. But after do test case step by step, then I understood more about it. UiPath Training Tutorial

Based on above steps, we can know which issue are in scope/out scope. Then we can do it correctly and fast without rejected issues.
By the way do you have any YouTube videos, would love to watch it. I would like to connect you on LinkedIn, great to have experts like you in my connection (In case, if you don’t have any issues).
